Which size is right for you? 

Our CO2 generators are available in three sizes: 1L, 2L, and 5L. Despite the difference in size, each system is capable of producing 400 PSI of pressure and features the same durable, full-metal construction. The main distinction between them is the bottle capacity; larger bottles can hold more raw ingredients, which in turn generates more CO2 gas that lasts longer.

Therefore, when selecting the right size for your setup, consider your tank volume and how long you want your CO2 supply to last. Below is our recommendation:

Up to 60 L – Use the 1-Litre Bottle Kit

Up to 200 L – Use the 2-Litre Bottle Kit

200 L Plus – Use The 5-Litre Bottle Kit

How Our Aquarium CO2 Generator Works?

Our DIY generator produces CO2 gas through a controlled reaction between acidic and alkaline ingredients. In just a few hours, this reaction can generate up to 400 PSI of pressurized CO2 for use in your aquarium. You can then easily fine-tune the CO2 output using the included adjustment valves. The CO2 diffuser releases ultra-fine bubbles that dissolve efficiently in the water, ensuring your plants get the carbon they need for optimal photosynthesis.

What Is a Solenoid Valve?

The solenoid valve lets you automate CO2 injection using a timer switch. When powered off, the valve closes to stop CO2 flow; when powered on, it opens to release CO2.

Tip: If you already use a timer for your aquarium light, connect your CO2 solenoid to the same timer — advanced users can start CO2 one hour before lights on, and stop it one hour before lights off.

Quick Setup Guide

1. Assemble the head unit, solenoid valve, and bubble counter.
2. Slightly tighten the adjustment and shut-off valves.
3. Add water to the bubble counter using the syringe.
4. Fill the bottle with the correct amount of raw ingredients.
5. Wipe the bottle thread clean, hold the bottle at a 45-degree angle, and add the specified amount of water (do not shake the bottle when filling up the water, as it will jump-start the reaction process).
6. Quickly attach the cap assembly and let pressure build for a few hours.
7. Connect the diffuser and tubing.
8. Adjust the CO2 output to the desired amount. Note that the CO2 output will stabilise slowly over 30-60 minutes.
9. Set up the solenoid on a timer and enjoy a greener, healthier aquarium!
